A Joyful Beginning
“If you are grateful, you will be faithful, and if you are faithful, you will be grateful.”
With hearts filled with gratitude to God and to our generous benefactors, especially Bishop Khalid Rehmat, Bishop of the Diocese of Lahore, we joyfully celebrate the opening of our new mission station and house of formation in Lahore.
On August 22, 2026, Bishop Khalid Rehmat inaugurated and blessed our new home, marking an important milestone in the history of our congregation. For many years, our Sisters have desired to establish a presence in the Diocese of Lahore. That hope has now become a reality.
Religious men and women from various congregations joined us for this special celebration. Their presence made the occasion even more joyful as we gathered to give thanks for this new chapter in our life and mission.
The celebration began with a warm welcome for our guests, followed by the presentation of bouquets and the unveiling and blessing of the plaque outside the new house. Holy Mass was then celebrated, during which Bishop Rehmat warmly welcomed our Sisters to the Diocese of Lahore. He expressed his joy at having the Sisters present and encouraged them in their work of formation and pastoral ministry.
The celebration continued with fellowship and a meal shared by all.
A Place for Formation and Growth
The new house will provide an important setting for the formation of young women discerning a vocation and preparing for religious life. It will also offer our professed Sisters opportunities for continued learning and development.
The Sisters will have opportunities to participate in formation programs, programs for formators, inter-congregational programs and other sessions designed to support their ongoing spiritual, pastoral and professional development.
The house will also serve as a base for our Sisters' pastoral ministry. Our Sisters hope to work in a school and are awaiting the necessary approval from the Ministry of Education.
Welcoming New Vocations
We are especially grateful for the young women who are discerning a call to religious life among us.
Our community currently includes one novice, Mifra Gulshan, and one postulant, Nadra Lucas, who is preparing to begin her novitiate in November. Three additional candidates—Sawera Ashraf, Alishba Sarwar and Sheral Danial—are continuing their journey of discernment and formation.
Three of our professed Sisters—Sr. Noreen William, Sr. Catherine Bashir and Sr. Anna Bashir—will also live in the new house and accompany the women in formation.
This new house in Lahore is more than a new building. It is a sign of hope and a place where young women can discover, deepen and respond to God's call. It is a place where faith can be nurtured, gifts can be developed and a new generation of religious women can prepare to serve God's people.
With grateful hearts, we look to the future with joy and confidence, trusting that God will continue to bless our Sisters, those in formation, and all who have made this new mission possible.
