In 2018, the congregation marked the sixtieth anniversary of our Pakistan missions with celebrations in Bahawalpur and in Sparkill. On October 12, 1958, eight Sparkill Dominicans arrived in Karachi, Pakistan, to be part of ministries in education and health care begun there by the Dominican friars of the Eastern U.S. Province of St. Joseph. This mission has been the source of many blessings—both for the Pakistani people and for our congregation. We rejoice at the growth of the community of Pakistani Dominican Sisters of Sparkill.
