1995 – Dominican Sisters Family Health Services
1995 – Dominican Sisters Family Health Services
Project Description

Dominican Sisters of the Sick Poor began what is now Dominican Sisters Family Health Services in 1879.  By the late nineties, the agency was providing services within the five boroughs of New York City and in Westchester and Suffolk Counties and several Sparkill Dominicans serve as administrators, social workers, and nurses. Sponsorship is expanded in 1995 to include other congregations who “share the vision” of DSFHS—the Dominicans of Blauvelt, Hope, and Sparkill, and the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, NY. This sponsorship continues until 2016 when it was transferred to the New York Archdiocese’s ArchCare.
