2009 – Dominican Sisters in Committed Collaboration
2009 – Dominican Sisters in Committed Collaboration
Project Description

Beginning in 2004, the six Dominican congregations in the Northeast begin discussions to find ways to collaborate on needs and to support common efforts such as opposition to injustice against immigrants, combatting climate change, and addressing the unmet needs of poor people, especially women and children. In 2009, these efforts lead to the formation of a new reality: OPSCC—Dominican Sisters in Committed Collaboration. The collaboration between the Sisters from Amityville, Blauvelt, Caldwell, Hope, Maryknoll, and Sparkill continues to bear much fruit.
