Congratulations to our Associates who are renewing their commitment to journey with the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill. We are grateful for the many ways they live the mission of proclaiming the Reign of God through ministry of justice and reverence for all creation.
On Saturday Oct. 7 the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill celebrated the feast of the Holy Rosary at mass with a re-commitment ceremony for our Associates. The Associates are lay people who embrace the charism of the Sisters and walk along with them in their mission and ministries. In the presence of the whole community the Associate promise:
"In the Spirit of the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill who strive to be women of prayer and compassion proclaiming the reign of God through a ministry for Justice and Reverence for all creation, I ( Mary Ryan, Jim Russell, Ann Hagopian) choose to embrace your mission by renewing my commitment to journey with you as an Associate of the Congregation."
We are forever grateful for our Associates for all they do in living in the footsteps of St. Dominic.
