The Dominican Sisters of Sparkill announce a new Director of Communications and Mission Advancement, David L. Coppola. David brings with him more than 25 years of experience in senior administration in Catholic academic settings where his leadership responsibilities have included strategic planning, marketing and communications, institutional advancement, fundraising, and mission promotion.
“For nearly 150 years, the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill have been doing extraordinary work with children, families, and their local community—often with few financial resources and eschewing any kind of personal recognition. Their commitment to hospitality, prayer, teaching, and integrity are self-evident when one enters their doors. I look forward to strengthening the communications and fundraising initiatives of the Sisters and Associates to get the good word out and inspire others to engage together with them in efforts that promote justice, charity, the common good, and care of the earth.”
David holds advanced degrees in theology and education, including a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Fordham University. He has published and speaks about interreligious dialogue and education.
