Three new Postulants enter Community in Pakistan

The Dominican Sisters of Sparkill are delighted to welcome three young women as Candidates in their Community in Pakistan. At a ceremony in Bahawalpur on March 12, 2016, Shabnum Robia Francis, Sadaf William, and Robina Komal Nazir (pictured below) officially became Postulants in the Sparkill Community. The Postulants have spent the last 6 months living with members of the Community in Multan, Pakistan, where they completed a Religion Teachers Course at the Pastoral Institute and taught at Dominican Primary School.

The entire Sparkill community in Pakistan, which totals 20 women, gathered in Bahawalpur for their entrance.

“We are so blessed as a congregation to have these three wonderful women join our community in Pakistan,” said Sr. Lorraine LaRocca, member of the Congregational Leadership Team. “May God be with them and the rest of our Community as we work together to make a difference in the lives of the people with whom we minister and serve in this country and in Pakistan. Our love and prayers are with these young women as they begin their journey with us.”
