The Dominican Sisters of Sparkill give thanks to God for the life of our Associate Mary Ann Bockelman who entered eternal life on December 22, 2014.
Mary Ann was an Associate of the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill from 1986-2014. She graduated from Barat College of the Sacred Heart in Lake Forest, IL and spent most of her working career at St. Louis University. Mary Ann was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church where she came to know the Sparkill Dominicans who staffed the elementary school there. She embraced the congregation’s mission and truly felt a part of the life of the Sisters. Mary Ann particularly gave her talents to working with the community liturgy committee. Mary Ann was a wise woman of prayer and service who will be deeply missed.
