Friday, May 13, 2022, One to One Learning, Inc., a sponsored ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill, celebrated 25 extraordinary years of service to immigrants in Rockland County. One to One Learning provides English classes, taught by volunteers, and other supportive services to immigrants, empowering them to reach their full potential. The 2022 Hands of Hope Gala, held at the Nyack Seaport, brought together the close-knit community of alumni, teachers, Sisters, friends, supporters, and family.
Founder and Executive Director Sister Cecilia LaPietra’s vision and commitment is the foundation on which One to One Learning is built. The immeasurable contributions of staff, volunteers, supporters, and students supply the dynamic energy which fuels the growth of this ministry.
