The Dominican Sisters warmly invite everyone—whether you join us regularly or for the first time—to our monthly Rosary for Peace on Thursday, February 26th, at 7:00 PM ET. This virtual gathering will be held on Zoom and YouTube, beginning with a brief introduction, followed by the Rosary. Your presence and participation will enrich this spiritually meaningful event.
The Rosary, rooted in Scripture, is a powerful prayer that guides us through the profound events—called “Mysteries”—in the lives of Mary and Jesus, remembered throughout the liturgical year. Its meditative repetition opens the heart to contemplative prayer, offering a path to inner peace and spiritual growth. By joining our Rosary for Peace, you are invited into a journey of reflection that can deepen your connection with God and inspire a more peaceful, prayerful life.
As Dominicans, we approach the Rosary in the ancient Catholic tradition, affirming it as “the layperson’s breviary.” The introductory prayers are drawn from the Liturgy of the Hours, a set of prayers that sanctify the hours of each day and form a vital part of the Church’s liturgical life.
In the Luminous Mysteries, we reflect on moments when Christ’s light shines most clearly in the world. These sacred events reveal a love that heals, a mercy that forgives, and a compassion that restores. As we pray, we are invited to receive this light and carry it into our lives—becoming instruments of love, forgiveness, and peace for others.
To help you prepare, we encourage you to review our Rosary Outline for Participants, which provides a comprehensive guide to the flow.
