The Dominican Sisters warmly invite you to be part of our community by attending our monthly Rosary for Peace on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 7:00 PM ET. Please join us on Zoom or YouTube live, where we will come together in prayer and reflection.
The Rosary is a Scripture-based prayer that reflects on profound events (“Mysteries”) in Mary and Jesus's lives that are remembered throughout the liturgical year. The repetition in the Rosary is meant to lead one into restful and contemplative prayer related to each Mystery.
As Dominicans, we pray the Rosary in an ancient Catholic manner, affirming that the Rosary is "the layperson's breviary." The introductory prayers are based on the opening prayers from the Liturgy of the Hours.
In addition to your intentions this month, we pray to experience the peace of God calling us by name. May our meditation on these mysteries, through Mary, inspire us to a more intense experience of unity with God and inner peace.
