Rosary for Peace, October 2026

Rosary for Peace, Oct 2026

The Dominican Sisters of Sparkill warmly invite you to our monthly Rosary for Peace on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 7:00 PM ET. This virtual gathering will be held on Zoom and YouTube, beginning with a brief introduction, followed by the Rosary. We welcome your presence and prayerful participation.

Rooted in Scripture, the Rosary guides us through the profound events, or “Mysteries,” in the lives of Mary and Jesus. Its meditative repetition opens the heart to contemplative prayer, offering a path toward inner peace and spiritual growth. As Dominicans, we embrace the Rosary in the ancient Catholic tradition, often described as “the layperson’s breviary.”

Walking with Christ in a Suffering World

This month, we will pray the Sorrowful Mysteries, reflecting on Christ's suffering and recognizing his presence in the lives of those who experience violence, injustice, poverty, displacement, and loss in our world today.

Through Scripture, prayer, and contemporary images of human suffering, we are invited to walk with Christ and stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters who carry heavy burdens. Together, we pray for healing, reconciliation, and an end to violence, asking God to open our hearts to compassion and inspire us to become instruments of peace.

To help you prepare, we encourage you to review our Rosary Outline for Participants, which provides a guide to the flow of the prayer.
