Racism

Knowing that everything is embedded in the web of relationships, we note the reality of racism and its impact on all these issues. Our commitment to justice calls us
to work to dismantle racism.

-North American Dominican Call to Justice

Our Direction Statement from Chapter 2022 outlines our commitments and focus going forward. In it, we said, "Faithful to our Dominican charism, we remain committed to the pursuit of truth in order to face and address the injustice of racism, war, exploitation of women and children, exclusion of migrants, and all other threats to peace." The call to address racism goes beyond the assembly resolutions that have committed us to do the critical work of recognizing racism as a systemic, structural cause underlying ... multiple situations of injustice with a focus on the intersection of racism, migration, and climate crisis.

How is God calling us to challenge racism in ourselves and in the world around us?
