Our Sisters benefit every day from the gifts our donors make, whether it be for their safety, comfort, independence, or for their ministries and missionary activities. You are remembered daily in our communal prayers.

Veritas (“Truth”) is one of the mottos of the Order of Preachers — the Dominicans. It points to the heart of the Dominican tradition:
to be messengers of liberating the power of truth and the embodiment of Truth in the person of Jesus.

THE VERITAS SOCIETY

As a way of thanking individuals who include the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill in their estate planning, or have made a gift from IRAs or Trusts, we invite you into a special community of friends and family—our Veritas Society. When you are welcomed into the Veritas Society, you receive a beautiful lapel pin based on the Veritas mosaic, which points to the heart of the Dominican tradition: to be messengers of truth. In addition to your welcome package, you will receive special communications, event invitations, and recognition in a variety of publications, if desired. One of these publications is our bi-annual magazine, “Weavings” where we feature a story from one of the Veritas Society Members, sharing how the Sisters have positively impacted their life.
